The Corning men have ended the semester on a high note, and a 6-game winning streak, as they defeated visiting Schenectady CC 97-78 on Saturday. Michael Stewart led the charge and was one of five Red Barons to score in double-digits. Stewart scored 17, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Robert Jackson scored 13 points, Efrain DeJesus scored 11 points and Tyler Collins scored 11, had 3 assists and 4 steals and Jason Caldwell added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Pryce Taylor made a big contribution off the bench scoring 7 points and grabbing 2 rebounds.
Corning enters the semester break 8-3 overall and 7-1 in Region III action. The Red Barons will return to the hardwood on January 9 when they host Onondaga CC for a 3pm tip-off.
