The Corning men got back on track Saturday afternoon and defeated the visiting Lazers from OCC 88-79. The Red Barons used a balanced offensive attack and shared the ball well all afternoon. Shawn Wedderburn led the charge with 20 points and 15 rebounds while Tyler Collins did a little of everything as he added 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Trentton Ray scored a season-high 16 points and dished 4 assists while Shaheen Hopson scored 15 and handed out 6 assists. OCC came out of blocks strong and took an early lead but Corning went ahead 6 minutes into the contest and never looked back, leading by as many as 16 in the second half.
Corning is at home Tuesday and host the TC3 Panthers. The women tip-off at 5pm & men at 7pm.
