Men Improve to 4-0 with Big Win Over Clinton

The Corning men improved to 4-0 on the season with a big home win Sunday afternoon as they defeated Clinton CC 81-54.  The Red Barons jumped out early and took a 32-15 lead into the locker room at the half. 

The offense displayed a balanced attack.  Devin Cooper led the way with 13 points while Bernard Edwards and Efrain DeJesus each scored 12.  Edwards added 6 rebounds and 3 assists.  Shawn Wedderburn scored 11 and grabbed 5 boards while Jordan Wright and Cooper Buckley were strong off the bench.  Wright had 9 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds while Buckley added 6 points and 2 rebounds.  The Corning defense held the Cougars to 24% shooting from the floor. 

The Red Barons improve to 4-0 on the season and have a pivotal weekend ahead of them.  Saturday Corning will travel to Herkimer College and then Sunday face Mohawk Valley CC in Utica.
