Men Improve to 9-1 with 71-63 OT Thriller at Columbia Greene

The Corning Community College men's basketball team closed out the semester in exciting fashion as they recovered from a 10 point deficit with 2:33 remaining to take Columbia Greene CC into OT and get their ninth win of the season.  The Red Barons found themselves down 10 before Corning's Tyler Collins decided to take over the show.  Collins scored 9 straight points to pull Corning within one point, then after two CGCC free throws, Collins hit a three with :14 seconds to send the game into overtime.  Corning outscored  their opponent 11-3 in OT.  Collins finished the game scoring 22 of Corning's last 25 points.  He ended the game with 25 points, 6 steals and 8 assists.  Devin Cooper scored 13 and Shawn Wedderburn scored 12 and grabbed a team-high 18 rebounds. 

The men improve to 9-1 at the semster break and will host Cayuga CC Thursday, January 12 in their MSAC Conference opener.
