Men Beat Cayuga to Open Conference Play

The Corning men hosted Cayuga CC on Thursday evening in their semester and MSAC Conference opener Thursday and came away with a 74-63 win.  Not playing in more than 30 days was evident as the game was at times sloppy.  The Red Barons however were able to rely on some clutch shooting from Efrain DeJesus and some big minutes off the bench from Zeron Bratcher.  DeJesus scored 23 points while Bratcher added 13 points.  Shawn Wedderburn had a huge game as he dropped 15 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and recorded 5 steals.

Corning improves to 10-1 on the season and travels to Onondaga CC on Saturday for a match-up with the NJCAA's #1 ranked team in the nation.
