The Corning Community College men's basketball team came up huge at Finger Lakes CC on Saturday afternoon and earned a MSAC Conference win that keeps their hopes alive of hosting the MSAC Tournament on February 24 and 25.
Holding a two-point lead at the half, Corning came out strong in the second half and controlled the boards as they out-rebounded the Lakers by 28. Foster Clark led the way with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists, while Devin Cooper added 14 points and 8 rebounds. Shawn Wedderburn posted another double-double with 13 points and 11 boards and Tyler Collins added 13 points. Ramel Powers was big off the bench and added 9 points and 5 rebounds. This was the sixth straight game at least four Red Barons reached double-digits in the scoring column.
Corning improves to 17-4 overall and 8-2 in the MSAC Conference. The Red Barons travel to Broome CC on Wednesday.
