Men's Soccer Ends Season in OT Heartbreaker
The CCC men's soccer team travelled to Fulton Montgomery Sunday afternoon for their final regular season game. Defense dominated the game for the first 80 minutes of the contest as neither team was able to push the ball across the goal line.
The CCC men's soccer team travelled to Fulton Montgomery Sunday afternoon for their final regular season game. Defense dominated the game for the first 80 minutes of the contest as neither team was able to push the ball across the goal line. FMCC was first to strike in the 81st minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Red Barons responded as Cameron Thweatt beat the keeper on an assist from Matt Forrest to tie the contest and force OT. The goal was Thweatt's first career collegiate goal. With 2-minutes remaining on overtime, FMCC scored on a free kick 30 yards out to take the win. Corning ends the season 2-12-1.
