The BCC Hornets stung the Red Barons 3-1 in men's soccer Wednesday afternoon in a MSAC Conference match.
Broome scored off a deflected shot five minutes into the game and added a second goal in the 19th-minute from 26 yards out on a cross from the wing with what proved to be the game-winner. The Red Barons got on the board with 1:24 left before halftime. Peter Gerould found Likonga Molingou in the box and Molingou was able to beat the Broome keeper from a tough angle to find the back of the net. Broome added an insurance goal in the 80th-minute as Broome dribbled past four Corning defenders and beat Corning keeper Rhett Seeley low and away. Seeley had another outstanding game in goal as he turned away ten shots including two one-on-ones.
Corning falls to 1-1 overall and travels to Hudson Valley CC Saturday.
