Corning Community College soccer alum Adam Robinson will be taking over the reigns of the Red Barons men's soccer program immediately, as announced by the College's Athletics Department Monday morning.
"I am very pleased to have Adam join our staff here at Corning Community College. He has extensive collegiate experience with a proven background of success both from the recruiting aspect and program development aspect," states CCC Director of Athletics Stacy Johnson. "He is ready to take over his own program and I am glad he has come back to CCC to do so. His rebuilding experience at Keuka coupled with his recruiting responsibilities there should serve him well as he readies for this next chapter in his coaching career. I think Adam is ready for his own program and being a fromer player in the program will only drive him more to be successful."
Robinson has been on the sidelines with the Elmira High School Express men's soccer team for the past five seasons as both a Varsity Assistant Coach and Head JV Coach. Prior to that, he was an assistant at Keuka College for 9 seasons and helped Head Coach Matt Tantalo build that program into a national contender. "Working with Coach Tantalo at Keuka provided me the guidance, mentorship and tools to be ready for this tremendous opportunity, " said Robinson of his experience at Keuka. Robinson has also been very involved coaching at the premiere level in the Soaring Capitals Soccer Club and holds a USSF National D License as well as NSCAA State, Regional and National Goalkeeping diplomas. He has also experienced training in Heidelberg, Germany and at the Oscar Training Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
"I am looking to move the Red Barons program to the next level and am humbled to be given the opportunity to take the helm of a program at one of the premiere community colleges in the SUNY system. It is an honor to accept this position and great to be back where my college playing career began."
