The men's soccer team opened the season Sunday as they hosted Dutchess Community College and suffered a 4-1 set-back.
DCC scored in the 23rd-minute on a PK and then again 13-minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into the half. Ten-minutes in to the second half, DCC got on the board again courtesy of a Corning own-goal as a crossed ball was headed by a Corning defender and deflected inot the net. In the 71st-minute, Likonga Molingou found the net for the Red Barons first goal of the game and season. Molingou dribbled from the left to the right side of the field, crossed back middle and hit a rocket from 20-yards out to beat the keeper top left. With 5-minutes to play, Dutchess scored theor fourth goal from 12-yards out.
