Men's Soccer Scores Six Goals in Big Win

The CCC men's soccer team continued playing solid defense and scored 6 goals as they defeated visiting St. John Fisher College JV's Thursday by a score of 6-1.

It didn't take long for Corning to jump out to a lead as Jonothan Daley put CCC up 1-0 within the first two-minutes of play on an assist from Likonga Molingou.  Three-minutes later, Molingou scored his own goal on a ball from Gerald Maher.  Molingou scored again in the 16th minute courtesy of a Daley pass and then Daley scored his second goal in the 24th minute courtesy of a feed from Joshua Carpenter.  Corning took a 4-0 lead into the half.

The Red Barons would score twice more in the second 45-minutes as Molingou scored his third goal, this one unassisted, and Maher struck for the last CCC goal in the 52nd minute.  The Corning defense was again solid thanks to outstanding efforts from Robert Weiskopf, Jonathon Fleming, Logan Brimmer and Boi "Junior" Coulibaly.

Corning hosts FLCC at home on Saturday.  The women kick-off at noon and the men at 2pm.
