Softball Keeps Rolling; Sweeps FMCC
The Corning softball team swept FMCC convincingly Sunday by scores of 17-1 and 22-0. This was CCC's eighth straight win.
The Corning softball team swept FMCC convincingly Sunday by scores of 17-1 and 22-0. This was CCC's eighth straight win.
The Red Barons bats stayed red hot as they pounded out 34 hits in 10-innings and twelve of those hits were for extra bases. Nicole Sutryk and Sammi Moffe each had two doubles, Mollie Peck, Aja Gosper and Emily McCracken each recorded a double and a triple and Jessi Jenner and Courtney Sutryk each doubled. McCracken and N. Sutryk each added seven RBI's, Jenner had 4 RBI's while Peck, Gosper and Samantha Erbach each chipped in with 3 RBI's. Moffe and N. Sutryk each earned a win in the circle. Both gave up a mere two hits.
Corning has two regular season doubleheaders remaining. On Tuesday, April 30 at 3pm CCC will host Onondaga CC and then on Wednesday, May 1, the Red Barons wil host Jamestown Olean CC at 4pm.
