Women Defeat Lorain CC for First Victory

The CCC women's basketball team squared-off with Lorain CC in day two of the Westmoreland CC Touranment and came away with its first victory of the season with a 41-40 win. Corning relied heavily on their offensive proficiency as they shot 42.9% from the field on the afternoon.

The CCC women's basketball team squared-off with Lorain CC in day two of the Westmoreland CC Touranment and came away with its first victory of the season with a 41-40 win.  Corning relied heavily on their offensive proficiency as they shot 42.9% from the field on the afternoon.

Marissa Pike led the offense with 23 points as she shot 3 for 5 from behind the 3-point arc.  Mollie Peck added 9 ppints and seven rebounds while Sarah Dickson had 6 points and nine rebounds. 

Corning hosts Alfred State College on Tuesday evening in a doubleheader.  The women tip-off at 5pm and the men at 8pm.
