Corning Falls to Delhi in Tarantelli Consolation; Cumberland Takes Title

The CCC women's basketball team suffered from first half foul trouble and cold shooting, leading to a 53-40 loss to SUNY Delhi. CCC was able out score the Broncos in the second half and cut the lead to 8 at one point, but that was as close as the Barons could get.
Marissa Pike led the Corning offense with 13 points while teammate Sarah Dickson pulled in 9 rebounds. Chelsea Lehman was a bright spot for Corning. The freshman guard did a little of everything as she scored a season-high 11 points, dished 4 assists, had 5 steals and grabbed 4 offensive boards. Tanya Barnes led the Broncos with 17 points and teammate Brianne Lambert scored 14.
In the title match-up, Cumberland County College improved to 9-0 on the season as they defeated the TC3 Panthers 82-63. Cumberland's Tess Elder continued to burn the nets down as she hit 8 3-pointers in her 33-point performance and earned MVP honors. Cumberland's Shanece Howard added 15 and Alicia Cox chipped in with 14 points. TC3 was led by Becca Horton with 14 points while teammates Kristal Stevens and Audrey Kate Ordway netted 12 and 11 respectively.
