Edwards Named NJCAA Women's Basketball All-American

Amber Edwards has been named to the NJCAA Women's Basketball 3rd Team All-American team as announced by the NJCAA this week. This ranks Edwards as one of the top-15 players in all of the NJCAA.   

This honor is the capstone on an incredible basketball career that Edwards has had for the Red Barons.  This season she led the team to an 18-8 finish and a MSAC (Mid-State Athletic Conference) and Region III Final Four appearance.  Edwards averaged 18.2 points per game (ranked 35th nationally) and grabbed 8.8 rebounds per contest.  In her career, Edwards scored 813 points and grabbed 512 rebounds.  Her career shooting percentage was 47.9% from the floor. 

Edwards is also an All-MSAC and Region III Volleyball team selection and a two-year starter on the Red Barons nationally ranked softball team.  She plans on continuiing her education at Houghton College while playing volleyball and basketball.
