The CCC women were able to score with less than 6-minutes remaining to earn a 3-2 win Saturday afternoon against Jamestown CC. Huntyr Roberts opened the game with a Corning gaol 5-minutes into the contest as a Mackenzie Warner shot hit the crossbar and Roberts volleyed it home. JCC answered quickly and then with 25-minutes to play in the first half, Shae Green slid back post on a ball from Warner and found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal. The Jayhawks scored again before the horn to tie the match 2-2 at the half. Corning controlled the possession most of the second half and had many chances to score but couldn't put the game away until Shae Green won a ball on the sidelines, found Paige Hendershot in the middle of the 18 and Hendershot beat the keeper for the game-winner. Corning keeper Rae Ann Prestridge recorded 8 saves in the net.
Corning hosts Finger Lakes CC on Saturday at noon.
