The Corning women's soccer team hosted Cayuga CC atop Spencer Hill on a rainy Saturday afternoon and came away with a 7-1 victory. Corning would score five-goals in the first half. The offensive attack was started by Mackenzie Warner as she struck a rocket from 40-yards out to beat the Spartans keeper five minutes into the contest. Three-minutes later, she would loft a direct kick just under the crossbar to score her second of the game. Alyssa Crawford scored Corning's third goal on a ball from Kendall Grover. Grover would then score her own off a corner-kick served up from Hayleigh Brumber. Grover notched her second goal to extend Corning's lead after the first 45-minutes of play. Jessica Hickey pushed the lead to 6-0 when she scored off a ball from Warner and Paige Hendershot 66-minutes into the match. Cayuga would score with 30-minutes left to play but Warner would then score again off service from Macie Drake to complete the hat-trick with 4-minutes left. Warner finished with 3 goals and an assist. Corning outshot their guests 20-6. Red Baron keeper Rae Ann Prestridge had 7 saves in the net.
