Corning Community College's dream season came to an end Thursday afternoon at the hands of the Hudson Valley CC Vikings. The Red Barons broke numerous records this season as they finished 12-3-1 and set a new standard for most wins in a season. Victoria Finn scored Corning's lone goal 27 minutes on to the match. Her initial shot bounced off the keeper and she was able to put the second shot into the net. Corning took the 1-0 lead into halftime but with 25 minutes left to play HVCC was able to take a through ball and place it in the back left corner. With 9 minutes left, a Viking lob just skimmed underneath the crossbar and gave HVCC the 2-1 advantage. Corning pressured and had a few opportunities but could not find the equalizer before time ran out. Morgan Price finished with 6 keeper saves.
