Volleyball Team Sweeps TC3 In Three Straight

The Red Barons quickly spoiled any thoughts that the Panthers may have had about an upset Wednesday night in Region III and MSAC Conference volleyball action.  Corning jumped to an early 8-1 lead in set one and never looked back.  Corning swept by scores of 25-12, 25-11 and 25-15.   Chelsea Hutsick led the Red Barons with 20 setter assists, six aces and 18 service points.  Mollie Peck had seven kills while teammates Sammi Moffe and Katie Dunning added 9 service points and one ace each.  The Barons improve to 2-1 in the MSAC Conference and are 3-6 on the season.  Corning travels to Broome CC this weekend for games against Herkimer, Mohawk Valley and SUNY Delhi.
