Charles O'Dickerson HS Duo Signs With Red Barons Volleyball

Corning Community College Red Barons Volleyball is excited to announce the signing of two recruits for the the Fall 2017 season. These two exemplary student athletes, Brilyn Winkleblack and Katelyn Artibee, hail from Charles O'Dickerson High School. The two signed their NJCAA National Letters of Intent on March 9, 2017.

Winkleblack and Artibee made a great pairing in high school.  They were IAC Champions their junior year and went undefeated during the regular season their junior and senior years.  They helped to lead their team to back to back sectional appearances as well.

Winkleblack, a middle hitter who also played solid defense for the Raiders, was one of their go-to attackers at the net.  She will bring with her experience and a hunger for success. She is a year-round volleyball player committed to the sport, playing club outside of her high school season.  Brilynn was named IAC Division MVP her senior year and was named IAC first team as a junior.  She led her team with 156 digs, compiled 103 kills and 29 blocks her senior season.  Her versatility as a player will serve her well in this next step as she becomes a key component of our offensive line-up.

Artibee is a force to be reckoned with in the middle, as she will command the front row for the Red Barons.  She was named 1st team IAC her junior and senior year.  Katelyn's sneior year she amassed a team-high 147 kills, 45 blocks and served up 70 aces.  Artibee will be looked at to be a vital contributor for the Red Barons offense.   She is a basketball player and looks to play two sports for Corning.

"I am very excited to see the impact these two young ladies will have on Red Barons volleyball throughout the next two years," said head coach Emily Andress.  "The fact that Brilynn and Katelyn come from a sound program and competed side-by-side for several years will only benefit our program.  Both are great additions to the Fall 2017 recruiting class."
