The CCC men's basketball team was anxious to get the season started and some of those jitters led to a shaky first half performance that contributed to a 55-68 loss at the hands of the SUNY Delhi Broncos.
Corning fell behind early in the contest and committed 11 first half turnovers that led to numerous Delhi points. The positive was the way the team reacted to being behind at the half. Corning came out and looked like a totally different team in the second half. The Red Barons only committed 5 second-half turnovers. Will Griffin was outstanding for CCC as the point guard scored 17 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and recorded 1 steal.
