Bio
Coach Place joins the Red Barons softball staff in 2026-27 after a phenominal playing career at Division I Monmouth University as their starting catcher and captain. Place is a local product, playing for Elmira High School and as a member of the Conklin Raiders travel organization. Her local ties and experience playing at a high level, both travel and collegiately, will be an asset to the program and the players she works with. Place graduated from Monmouth in the Spring of 2026 with her degree in Health and Exercise Science.
Coach Place will primarily work with the catchers and with the Red Barons hitters. She also works as a hitting and catching instructor in the Corning/Elmira/Horseheads area, offering private lessons. Place is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy at Binghamton University.
