The Red Barons Women's Basketball Team took down the Lakers from FLCC 50-30, earning their first victory in the Mid-State Athletic Conference.
Corning came out hot scoring 22 points in the first quarter and holding their opponent to just two points. The Corning offense cooled down in the second quarter but held on to a 16 point lead at intermission. The second half turned into a defensive battle as the Red Barons outscored FLCC by four points over the next two quarters, winning 50-30. Taylor Kelly, Destiny Hammond, and Taylor VanDine all scored in double figures while Hammond collected 13 rebounds posting a double-double. Kara Reese added 9 assists and two steals for the Red Barons.
